Who We Are & Our Beliefs

The Lompoc Church of Christ emphasizes a Bible-based, Spirit-driven faith, focusing on Jesus' sacrifice, unity among believers, and salvation through Christ. Their message is welcoming and rooted in Scripture.

Who We Are

We are a non-denominational congregation of Bible-based, Spirit-driven disciples of Christ. We exist to glorify God by reflecting the values of Jesus in our everyday lives. We believe the mission of the Church is to seek the lost and bring them into a relationship with Christ.

Our Beliefs

At Lompoc Church of Christ, we believe that a loving God created the universe and mankind. God gave us the freedom to choose whether we would love and trust Him or turn away. We believe that Adam and Eve chose to turn away, and through this, sin entered the world. The consequences of sin include hatred, strife, pain, and ultimately death. But God, in His love and grace, sent His Son Jesus into the world to redeem us.

We believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died for us. In His death, He paid the price for the sins of all who believe in Him. Three days later, He rose from the grave and appeared to His disciples before ascending to Heaven, where He mediates between God and mankind.

We believe that salvation comes only through Jesus and that He welcomes all who come to Him in faith, regardless of race, status, gender, or age. One day, all mankind will give an account of their lives, and those who have accepted God’s forgiveness will inherit eternal life with Him.

All of our beliefs are rooted in the Bible, which we hold as the inspired and flawless Word of God (2 Tim 3:16). We believe the Bible reveals God’s will, guides our lives, and must be our ultimate authority in faith and practice.

We also believe in Jesus’ call for unity among His followers (John 17:20-23). We view the division of believers into countless denominations as unfortunate and seek to unite all Christians around the simple and fundamental teachings of Scripture.
